Tri-Fold Easter Floral Card + New SALE-A-BRATION Products

Hi Crafters,

I have to say, I wasn’t a very big fan of flowers, when I first met Curtis (my Husband) he was always sending me gorgeous flower bouquets. I immediately thought to myself “uh-oh i don’t even like flowers, but I don’t want to her his feelings” they were beautiful but I knew they were gonna end up dying so I couldn’t get to excited…lol one day I told him (nicely) ” Instead of sending me flowers can you send me balloons” and he looked at me like I was but after I explained to him that they are pretty but they die, they are super expensive and balloons make me happy and last a lot longer 🙂 he understood 🙂

The same thing was happening when it came to ordering new stamps, I always skipped right passed the flowers, because I really didn’t have any ideas for creating with them. Well as you can tell from my previous post, I have been in floral lala I took a chance on my self and put my self up for the challenge of creating with floral stamps. I bought 2 stamp sets, one being Pleasant Poppies and the other being Indescribable Gift. My goal is to make 10 different projects from each stamp set 🙂 so stay tuned.

This is Tri-Fold Easter card I made using both the Pleasant Poppies and Indescribable Gift stamp sets. I added lots and lots of colors using various Stampin’ Up! stamp pads and the Aqua Painters. Isn’t so pretty!! all the products I used are listed below.

Unique Blog Hop – What Inspires Me

Good Morning Crafters,

A couple weeks ago one of my new friends Carol asked if I wanted to take part in this “Unique Blog Hop” and of course I said yes!! but when it came time to prepare for this post, I started getting nervous and of course intimidated because I had never taken part in one of these before, but I got over it and here I am and there you are reading this post 🙂 so let me go ahead and introduce my self, My Name is Valentina, I am from Glendale, CA,  33, and a mother of two.  My love for paper crafting began when I was a little girl, paper, stamps, crayons, markers, stickers and craft stuff used to get me excited and till this day I still get excited over paper, stamps and ink, That is why I became a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, So I can share my love of paper crafting with you. If you would like to check out Carols awesome post from last week go right ahead, she is a pretty awesome crafter.

As part of the HOP we are asked a series of questions to kinda give you an idea of who we are and why we do what we do.

The first question is…

well I am actually working on lots of projects, since I hold various classes throughout the week, I am constantly trying to come up with new projects or watching videos on YouTube and making the projects my own. But at this particular moment I am working on a recipe book and some holiday invitations. Holiday Bazzarr and Boutiques are coming up so I am also getting ready for those..lot’s of work, but I love every bit of it!!

Second question is…

I am not sure if it really does differ from the others in the paper crafting world, because we all have our own styles and techniques, some of us use stamps, some are into mixed media, some are into scrap-booking, and so on,  but we all share the same love which is paper 🙂 I think the only way I may differ from the rest of the paper crafters is that when I am creating, and I get an idea for another project, I have to make it as so as I am thinking about it, so you can imagine how my work area looks, but who knows, maybe the rest of the paper crafting world is nuttier than I am…lol it’s ok to be nuts, after-all we love paper… lol.

Third question is…

Because this is who I am, I love paper, embellishments, stamps, and stuff…lol If I didn’t create I wouldn’t be being true to myself. Paper crafting is my relaxation, some people garden, knit, clean, or take walks to relax but I CREATE.  There was a sign that I seen and it totally describes why I do what I do, and I will share it with you because I am sure a lot of you can relate.

why did she make things

Fourth question is….

Well as far as how my creative process works…sometimes it doesn’ like just the other day I was at my desk trying to come up with some designs for Holiday Cards, but for some reason it was so hard, I made 4 different cards, but I was not happy with any of them, I then turned to Pinterest and You-Tube but it didn’t help, so instead of getting frustrated, I got up from my desk and had to walk away so I ended up watching previously recorded shows of Big Brother that I had missed…lol I still haven’t given it another try but I will, so for those of you who have experienced the same thing, some times you just have to walk away!! lol

My inspirations come from many things, like I said I watch a lot of great crafters on YouTube and see some pretty cool things on Pinterest or Etsy, and I will either make them my own or create something totally different. I stay inspired because this is what I love to do, I lay in bed thinking about projects and “what will I make tomorrow” or “what if I used these dimensions” or “No that box would be a cute treat holder” lol I am constantly thinking and that is how I stay inspired.

I have chosen 3 very talented paper crafters who will be sharing with you next Monday, September 8, I know you will enjoy as much as I do!

1. Andrea Cimino from Garden of Creativity,  She is a very talented Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator who makes the cutest photo mini albums, I love her projects. I had the pleasure of meeting her for the first time at our Stampin’ Up! Convention CREATE INSPIRE SHARE 2014.

2. Brittany Simbolon from Inky Fingers, Brittany is another pretty awesome Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, who I also met and got to hang with at CREATE INSPIRE SHARE 2014. Check out her blog for the cutest projects, I look forward to her creations and I know you will too!

3. Kara Golby from iStampin, Kara is another very talented Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, she has some amazing projects and videos, check out her blog you will love it, especially the intro music to her tutorials. 🙂

I had the pleasure of meeting all three ladies at our Stampin’ Up Convention back in July, and we all came home inspired and ready to show you what kind of talent we have!

I hope you enjoyed my post and I want to thank Carol for inviting me the “HOP”

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again!

You make the WORLD a better place!!

Good Morning crafters,

This card that I’m sharing with you was inspired by scraps of paper laying on my desk!! I seen the strips and thought all the colors would look fun together along with using the Starurst Saying stamp set from STAMPIN’ UP!

I am really happy with the way it came out and I thought i’d share with you to give you some ideas for your next project.

Have an awesome day & stay crafty!!!

Revised Hummingbird card

Good afternoon Crafters,
So Like I said a couple days ago about the first hummingbird card, that I might change it?!? Well guess what? I did…lol I was not happy with it. So this is the new version of the card and I am super happy with the way it came out, although I was going through my embossing folders just now and came up with another idea. I will be posting a video of both cards today!! Stay tuned….see you soon 😉
